Rush Kappa Sigma!

Fall Rush 2017.jpg

College should be the best years in a young man’s life, but sometimes it can be hard to find your place in a university as large as the University of Massachusetts Amherst. There are so many students here and so much competition, most men think they are just another number – and wonder how they will stand out. However, that is never a problem for the brothers of Kappa Sigma here at UMass Amherst. Our chapter is a group of life-long friends who share one common goal: To help each brother achieve the total development of a better man academically, culturally, civically, and as a successful leader and role model to others. The brothers of Kappa Sigma will help you achieve your undergraduate goals as well as have the best four years of your life here at UMass!

Through our strong brotherhood we have done amazing things on campus:

  • Rank in top 3 largest fraternities on campus with over 85 brothers
  • Acquired a new chapter house next to campus at 778 N Pleasant St
  • Third highest average GPA on campus (above 3.0)
  • Host of the first annual Lace Up & Salute charity hockey game in spring 2015
  • Raised over $2,300 for the Wounded Warrior Project and Home Base Program
  • Hosted first annual Miss Kappa Sigma charity pageant for Baystate Children’s Hospital
  • Greek Week 2015 Lip Sync champions with Chi Omega
  • Greek Week 2014 Flag Football Champions
  • Greek Week 2013 Champions with Sigma Kappa
  • Most money raised among fraternities at Autism Speaks 2014 (over $8,000)
  • Most Improved Fraternity in 2014
  • New member of the Year Dylan LoBue 2014
  • Winners of Brothers in Action in New Orleans 2014 (The official membership development program of Kappa Sigma Fraternity)
  • Annual Baskets For Benefits Drive to collect food and clothing for the needy
